Moisture meters in downcomers.
Quite often the only possible location for a moisture meter ex dryer is inside of downcomers. MC-SCAN will be installed directly ex rotary air locks or at another transfer point. Another typical location for the system is in downcomers in pellet production.
Part of the material flow drops into a device inlet and is pushed by a feed screw through a measuring zone. Afterwards, the material is recycled to the production flow. The advantage of this method is that the core moisture of the material is measured as well. The mechanical process also ensures a consistent material density so that the measurement is not affected by variations.
Additional extensions of the system allow the connection of a PLC or a PC for visualisation.
MC-SCAN is robust and can also be used outside in all weathers.
