The density profile indicates the quality properties of a board, exhibiting the optimisation potential within the production process.

The DENSE-LAB X system measures the density profile vertically to the board surface. This profile is influenced by the pressure diagram of the press. Normally a higher density is aspired for the surface layer. The thickness of the surface layer and the defined sanding tolerances, amongst other things, provide useful information to enable optimisation of the production process. In the core layer, no density drops are allowed as they would weaken the internal bond.

Additional valuable details are rendered by the system by the calculation of the mean density, maximum and minimum values, mean value and ratios as well as comparisons of board samples.

The x-ray system works fast and precisely. Several samples can be analysed automatically without any supervision. The DENSE-LAB X is suitable for on-lab table mounting. Strict inspections and compliance with safety standards during the manufacturing process prevent any emission from the system.
